No need to probe. Heck you don't even need to pop. Just ook at the tails. Males have the longer thicker area and you can even see te lines of the hemipnus through the light ventral area during this time of their life.

baby florida morphs before or right after first shed are real easy to inspect sexes. But you will never understand unless you at least look once.

just look at all of their tails one by one. Tell me if you can see what I am talking about.

Male hemipenus on som eof these don't even need but a slight push of the index finger to every. Of course not all are like this or if they shed a couple times and or get dehydrated (which they should'nt), but fr the most part I can tell with all of mine right aroun dthe first shed with a glance. Subsequent probing females is always required before sale anyway (males are not neccssary as if they evert a hemipenus, so no further probing necsssary). But what you will develope is a knack and and eye from looking.

I always like to know right away what approx sex ratios are. Bums me out when they are all males. which is usually the case!
