yes they are natural islands.....

Just like the Outer Banks but a smaller lagoon between the mainland and the islands......From Matagorda Bay down to Baffin Bay......with many in between.....I grew up on St. Charles, Copano, Aransas & Nueces Bay.....Been a beach bum all my life...LOL



The only thing that is manmade through those bays is the intercoastal waterway/canal that is dredged enabling Tankers to navigate from port to port.
