Did you ever discover the exact cause of it? I've been doing a lot of research on the safest setup for heating and I think there are a lot of precautions we can all take. But like you said nothing is 100 percent foolproof. Still when I see some of those videos on YouTube with people who have setups with overloaded cheap power strips, wires and cables all crossing, etc it makes me scratch my head.
