I think this occurence is exactly like how an amel tricolor's white bands (where the black is absent) turns to yellow.

Yes, that is very similar to how certain individuals and/or bloodlines of certain tricolors also gain TONS more yellow over time as they mature (e.g. certain amel ruthveni, amel Hondos, amel nelsoni, etc..)......likely from progressively stored carotenoids, as those always start out normally white.
No doubt in my mind that it is ALL holbrooki. That was very clear right from the beginning as we both know.
It is pretty odd how the lavender holbrooki are no longer seen in the hobby like they were years ago, but I will definitely let you know if I hear of any through the grape vine.
