Thanks and I agree Frank......it is the result of line breeding and not hybridizing.....Robert Hansen produced this male. I produced the Mex Mex duo...
One could also produce different phenotypes by hybridizing too.
I've seen a few leonis looking animals that were the result of breeding a ruthveni to a mex mex. It somewhat supports Blody's and other's "south to north" genetic flow theory. Ruthveni being farthest south bred to a mex mex from just north of ruthveni producing a leonis that is found just north of mex mex.... ----- John Lassiter
