inside the toilet there is a air trap, thats where it will be. Unfortunately, that means you have to reach in and up the toilet. yuk.

Hopefully it did not go into the sewer pipes. Also, there is a fold where the water comes out to flush, check there with a mirror, its under the top rim. best wishes
