Ruthveni are a higher elevation kingsnake from the Queretaro plateau are in south-eastern Mexico. As such, they are like other mountain kings in that they do better if the background temp is cooler (like not much higher than 78) and the heat pad or basking area is kept less than 84 deg.



They get rather stocky, especially the females. They are easy captives in general. They aren't spastic like most milksnakes but are still somewhat shy. Breeding these guys can be problematic sometimes, requiring a consistently cool brumation.
