RE: venomous snakes in CA

First off you need to check your county laws as well, as for california the only venomous snakes we have are rattlesnakes. but a gaboon, no , you will never get a permit, also please bear in mind that a gaboon is very dangerous, AND you will not find a vet willing to treat one if you had one. If it gets sick you are on your own, I would suggest you stick with non venomous unless you have previously worked with hots.
