Strict Laws

I've seen a few posts on the strict NJ laws. What exactly is everybody referring to? No venomous. NO anacondas. Am i missing something? When I did all the looking up on permits it didn't seem too bad to me. There were more regulations on birds than herps. NO baboons was a good one, but the herps didn't seem very bad. I have to be missing something which means I'm in danger of a stiff fine so somebody please fill me in.
