They don't inspect for hobby permits. It doesn't matter how many you have as long as its nothing on the banned list. Basicly No venomous or endangered. When I got my permit I had 47 snakes on the first one and nobody raised an eyebrow. There is a lot of BS stories about the state screwing people.

Most of the bad stuff I've heard comes from people who have been caught with illegal stuff or get caught collecting from the wild......
