Your first pic didn't work because you posted the link to the photo on your personal computer, which we can't access.



This one worked, but rather than post a link to the site, you can usually just post the URL of the photo in the image URL box below the message entry box and it should show up directly in your post. Just go to the website that is hosting it and right-click on the photo and cut/paste the image URL from the pop up window that appears.



This is what I did here. However, some sites don't allow you to use your pics this way and people see a red X in place of the image (I don't know what you are seeing here?).



An easier alternative is to load them into the free gallery at kingsnake.com (click photo gallery above) and then you can post them in by choosing them from a pull down menu below the text entry box. That's how I inserted the snake skin picture.
