Have I made the right decision in my purchase? My primary interest is photographing wild animals at a variety of different distances, weather conditions, light levels, and states of movement.



It seems like a pretty nice camera for wildlife. The reviews I have seen (dpreview.com) seem pretty positive about the camera.

If your limit was $500, it sounds like you made a good choice.



For a couple of hundred dollars more you could have looked at the brand new Konica Minolta 5D DSLR. This new DSLR is getting rave reviews and it would work with your existing maxxum system lenses.



But the key is, you bought a good camera. Don't look back, take lots of pics and you will be happy with camera.
