...it is a Louisiana "mole snake". When I inquired about it, (without a pic) asking if it was a mole king or a prairie king, he said "it's not a king snake, it's a mole snake"

So...there you have it...

I know both have range in LA but I would expect a mole king from east LA to not have those colors (I don't know why)

and I WOULD expect a prairie king from w. LA to look just like this guy.

That's my opinion (that it is a prairie king) but to further muddy up the story/credibility...

When asked if he was bringing it to the Tampa show so I could see it, I got "Anything native to Florida cannot be sold in Florida, sorry"

So, with that much misinformation in one basket, I gave up.
