My situation is worse than I thought

While searching I found a decent sized hole (well big enough for her to fit through) in the floor of my bedroom right below the wall mounted heater.



I know she was in that room because I found evidence of her. Unfortunately for me, there is also the appearance of a nest (bird or mouse) in that hole. It's very cold down and deep so she might have gone down there and now will hiberate for winter.



This sucks. I can't cover it up because she might be down there. But if she's not, it's wide open for her to find.



I can't tear it up without tearing up the entire room. I'm just praying she never found it.
