Well I am not sure how you would go about starting one in NJ. I know the laws in NJ regarding reptiles are pretty strict and that is why you can't really find a herp club there. That is why the Metropolitan Herpetological Society (Staten Island, N.Y.) is open to anybody interested from NJ. The process of starting up a herp club actually depends on your residing state. But the best way to do it is to incorporate your club.
