breeding

How do YOU successfully breed boas? When do start lowering heat? When do you introduce them? What happens first? Does the female swell after she is bred or is that when you know to put her with a male? I am new to breeding boas and am trying to find out as much as possible before I breed them. Can my 3 year old female that is 5 feet long and in good health breed with my 2 year old male that is over 4 feet this year?

Geez You want to just bring em here and I'll breed em for you and send you the babies and parents back! Maybe I could sell them for you too. Sorry, but there is a wealth of info. READ!

You dont have to be so rude about it. People have to start somewhere. I'm sure you didn't know it all when you started. By the way, I do have books, but they all have different suggestions, so I thought I would ask first hand from people that bred successfully.

it wasn't my intentions. It just sounded like a whole lot of basic questions. It isn't often that we run across people that take the time and effort to gather info from several sources and then make an educated decision. I guess I should have put a few "LOL"s in there and if I knew how a smiley face or something. Again I appologize for coming across so rude. It is refreshing to hear that you learn first and then proceed.

Outside of "look at my....." pics, most threads on this forum could be answered with "buy a book". What locale is this...BUY A BOOK! What's wrong with my snake...THAT IS A BOOK...BUY IT!Outside of ego stroking and showing off, there really isn't too much that couldn't be replied to with "buy a book". This forum is policed enough on it's own, I don't think any of us need to add to it. I'm still wondering what happened to the thread on argentine boas.....I was hoping to get a few names of people to check out for nice black and whites, but next thing I know it's GONE! I've never really seen you this short with anyone, so I'm guessing you had a bad day...hope it gets better. Take care

You are completely right, that would answer most questions on here. I am actually in chronic pain (8 months now)and was having a crummy day but that is no excuse. You are also right about me not being rude usually. I appreciate you being kind enough to notice and then say so instead of blowing me out. I hope you have a great day as well!

Well, not sure what's causing your chronic pain, but I hope it all gets worked out somehow. Not too much worse than even a constant headache, so I'd imagine any other chronic pain would make you a little edgy. Take care, get well!
