Hey Scott,
I agree with FS3 in that these are not the brightest lizards in the reptile world. LOL I don't know that mine recognize me, but they do learn to recognize that food comes from me. When I go out to feed in the large cage I bang around a little and the bushes start moving with HL's coming out from their naps to eat.
Captive born lizards really have a much more relaxed attitude when it comes to me disturbing them. I can reach down to pick up my two cornutum (about a year old now) and they won't run unless I look to aggressive in going after them. Solare hatchlings are even more so.
