I've seen this a couple of times. What is a ruthven?

I've read some where astro turf is a good floor cover for a kingsnakes aquarium. Any input? Persoanlly Jake likes to burrow so I don't know how much he'd like it. But when i was concidering it I was thinking about cleaning convienence. Anyone try it?
