With Dumerils, most of us just go with the spur method. Males HAVE spurs, Females DO NOT. Here and there people will argue this, but I have never seen a female with spurs, and I have seen a TON of Dumerils. When I have seen people at shows try to sex Dumerils by either popping or probing, they have been accurate about 50% of the time. Hope that helps, take care
