I see them as a reasonable enclosure. As long as you don't wan't to really veiw your babys. Any enclosure that allwos proper air movment and ventalatin is going to be a humidity problem I guess. I think we as humans though misconsee humidity. I live in northwest Ohio and our natural humidity here summer spring and fall months is above 85 most of the time. Winter it lowers cause of the cold freezing it out of the outside air and the inside heat drying it. I made a hell of a mister by using mist jets, 1/4 tubing, a garden hose style lawn sprinkler timer and a garden sprayer.
I see an ideal Tokay cage as a 55 gallon tank setting 48' tall and a wire mesh lid on the front. They like the height over lenghth.
