How big is your little one? A good thing about the moss is, as long as they don't eat too much, it should digest and pass through with no problem.

Personally I use indoor/outdoor carpet I got from a guy who was doing a putt putt golf course and had left overs. It works well and I have extra to change out so I can wash them when they become soiled. I have a humid hide with some damp eco earth( shredded coconut husk)in it to help with sheds.
