Hello,
I have a green and a yellow anaconda. I used to keep them in big rubber maid plastic containers with paper bedding that they use for rodents.
Both outgrow their enclosures so I bought giant glass enclosures for both. I also replaced their bedding with cypress for more moisture.
Green seems to be doing fine but yellow stopped eating. I feed them a small rat once a week. Green takes it every time but yellow used to skipp a meal once in a while. She always took it the next week though. She would never eat in front of me but the rat would disappear next day. Now she skipped her third meal and I am getting scared.
So I am thinking its either the new bedding or she does not like the see-through glass enclosure. She was always nippy and stressed anyways so getting out of an opaque enclosure may have stressed her out more.
What do you think guys? Any experiences?
Thanks,
Yasin
