I work at petco and we clearanced out our fire skinks. the day someone took them an associate noticed 4 eggs that must have beed layed the same day (we clean out cages daily) so we put them in some moist moss in a "see-through" plastic container and put the lid on and i kept them under a lamp (not too hot though) until i brought them home.
They are still in the cup and moss in my reptile room. Since i the room is about 85 degrees and thats what i read they need i dont have any heat on them. Im just wondering if theres anything else i need to do? They are about 3 days old right now. I also wondered about the container they are in. Should i keep it closed? it keeps the humidity in well....its packed with moss so i dont think the air holes are doing much. or should i open it and just mist it once a day to keep it moist in there? im not sure if it "too" moist with the condensation on the inside touching the eggs.
Any help or tips will be appreciated.
