I don't know that I have ever truly seen it defined either. But I will say that I have seen some with a tremendous/rediculous amount of spotting that I would even dub them Super Dal.

Im with you, I like clean patterns and I don't like to see spots in my Harleys. Some people rave about it but I think it takes away from the pattern of a harley or flame.

I LOVE a bicolor or flat color dal though! I am working on 2 red dals now. I am hopeful that the offspring will have more dal spots that the parents. We'll see
