Hi guys. It started about 3-4 weeks ago as a swelling of the temporal/maxillary area with some crustiness at the corners of her mouth. I was treatng it like stomatitis. Cleaning and debriding the effcted area with dilute chlorhex. Today the crustiness returned (the temporal swelling never went away). As I was cleaning it, it began to ooze a lovely thick and purulent green secretion from (what looked like) a duct in the upper rear corner of her mouth. So I evacuated the remains of it. I think it might have been an infected salivary gland. Are there any other glands in that area of female Jacksons? Has anyone ever heard of this in Jacksons or any other species? Or do Jackson's have any specific glands in that region?
