I'm no expert but I don't see any huge problems using a cage like this. I've heard of people using bird cages which seems similar to yours. You would need to feed in a different cage or train chameleons to eat from feeding cups. I wonder if a chameleon's foot could get caught in the spacing between bars like a kid getting their head stuck in the bannister. good luck!
