There can be late bloomers when it comes to males, so if it's not over a year old, you might want to be sure it's a male by louping it or waiting until it's close to a year old to be sure by the buldge. I have heard many times people thinking they had a female for months and finally the buldge showed up between 0 and 12 months... I personally had one get it's buldge as late as 10 months. Some can take longer than others....
