That's really interesting about some of the Ahaetullas taking fish.
This may seem macabre to some, but I'm amazed that with today's technology we haven't figured out a way to make a paste/spray made up of feeder lizards to get our finicky types of snakes to start taking rodents. I'm not sure if it would have to be 100% lizard or just a much lower percentage for it to work.
I could imagine someday having a toad and lizard jar of "paste" available to brush onto the nose of a pinkie. I don't think many people have a problem accessing some sort of fish so we may not need that one.
It wouldn't need to be a very large jar/bottle; just enough to get our snakes taking rodents.
Do you know if anyone has attempted this?
I'm retired and have the time to experiment, but I just don't have the assets or advanced education to know what to use as a filler to reduce percentage of scent-animal to minimum required.
Almost like a "pinkie press" without being 100% pinkie, huh?
