most he problems you hear about GTP is from the older days of all WC animals and things like that, there is ALOT more captive breeding of them now days and seem less troublesome than use to be, HOWEVER they are still nippy and if you are looking for a snake to hold more often and not worry as much a irian jaya would be better.
