kelly, I don't think that a country (signed with the convention) could make laws based on CONSERVATION as an excuse to ban a sort of reptile declared non- Appendix I by CITES. That would be just wrong. Unless they are coming up with other justifications for the ban... wich i'm not completely informed of, here.
