Just had a large female Candoia bibroni bibroni brought in via a conservation organisation.
It had been rescued from a development area, and by some miracle, by someone who DIDN'T think that the right thing to do with a snake was slash it with a machete or pull its teeth out with a stick.
Anyway it was a healthy female, with unusually dark colouration. It took some willpower (and nagging by a conservation-minded partner I have to admit), but i did NOT succumb to the temptation to keep her. After examination and photography we drove her to a less disturbed area and released her into the rainforest, where I'm sure she'll be much happier.
