Aspen bedding is difficult to keep dry and clean with messy snakes like indigos, no matter how many times you "spot clean" the wastes.
It is easier and cleaner to just change the newspaper every time he craps! Put him on paper, keep him dry and I bet he will shed out of this "skin rot" with no problems.
