Well, you did something right, for certain...

I know about being discouraged when it comes to incubating this species' eggs. I have had pretty good luck getting the eggs to hatch, when they are fertile - but my problem has been in getting very minor deformities in many of the offspring. None affect the snakes' lives, but they do make them undesirable to most people...
