I've had good matings occur as late as early February for Easterns. I believe male should be kept relatively cooler than female, with temps dipping into high 60's at night. I also reduce lights to less than two hours. Expect male to probably go off feed during breeding season. At least one breeder I respect apparently does none of this.
Introducing a female just after she sheds and combating a reluctant male with a sparring partner may help to tilt things in your favor.
