I was walking a trail along a waterway, when off in the distance I could see a mink.

It was apparent that the animal caught a snake.

What was really odd was that it came running toward me with it (though eventually it dove into the underbrush).

Around here mink are rather shy, so it was unusual to observe this behavior. Though I was kind of bummed out about the snake.
