I received an interstate comerce permit October 29. I applied for it mid-August. Thus, it took about a two and a half months. FWS actually e-mailed me to let me know they received my application. I have never had an issue with FWS's competence in issuing these permits and I have gotten several over the years. I do believe that the permits are not necessary. They do not help with eastern indigo conservation in any way, shape or form. FWS makes no money on the permits.
