I did take a required psychology class in university and they had a simple series of pictures showing a mouse in a cage with nothing to do but eat sleep and drink and another in a cage with tunnels, wheels and things to chew on and many different dens to sleep in. The photos of there brains were very different and the neurons were more active in the brain of the mouse with enrichment.
