Thanks for the info. I went on Amazon and selected a 2000g scale with 0.1 gram resolution. I figured just in case I want to use it for other animals that might go over 1000g.

Originally I was looking on lab supply sites. Way too expensive for my intended purpose. Amazon prices on the other hand are so good. Even in the worst case if it failed in a year, still worth it. $16 for a digital scale with stainless steel surface. I mean, really.
