Soft Shell Question

elgrano Dec 11, 2006 01:38 PM

Hi guys
I have noticed that my 1-year old Spiny Soft Shell hasn't been eating much...can this be caused for this colder season or lower weather temperature?
Thanks!

Yes, this is most likely due to the changing of seasons. Keep your turtles water temp at about 76 degrees, and basking spot in the upper eighties. If you allow their water and air to get too cold, this could bring on a upper respitory infection.
