I have two Argentine Black and White tegus, male and female. The male is about 4 feet and the female three. I'm building a new cage for them. What are ideal dimensions? I would like to breed them, does this require any extra space?

Well, I've heard of folks breeding them in 632 Visions but that sure seems tight to me. I'd think 8x4x2.5 feet is a more reasonable minimum. I built them that size for my monitors (I savanna, 1 Dumerils - they were stacked like bunkbeds) I like the extra height so you can give them a foot of substrate and still have headroom for some low rocks & logs for them.

They're in a 6x2x2 right now, but spend all day clawing at the glass, and I can only let them out so often

I don't think they should be clawing at the glass all day. That's a sign something is not right for them, not so much an indication of insuffient cage space. Maybe temps, humidity, hunger, stress from eachother, lack of security/hiding spots etc. something is off.

Just not big enough for them. They've been spoiled and used to be out for a lot longer periods of the day. Temps and humidity are fine; they eat like pigs, and always hang out together, even when loose in the house. Plenty of hiding spots.

They are very smart though. Lily (the girl) knows if she paws at the glass part of the door, she can get it open a bit. The knows how to wedge the screws loose and get the door loose enough that she can get out. She managed one time to break the door clean off, then spent the next 5 hours in my room and I found her sleeping in the laundry pile, and the boy in the closet. They just get bored without enough stuff to do.
