I see someone in Classifieds is selling young Beaded specimens sexed by this method. Are there any comments here on this forum about laporoscopic sexing? Who offers this, if not why not?

I have read alittle about this, it seems plausible BUT until I see some bonafide writeups on the technique and whether it is accurate or not I will not be drilling holes in my exasperatum...Doc Sewards technique with ultrasound seems to work (on Gilas) and is far less invasive IMO.
I bet its not cheap either...

I notice that this procedure is done with birds, such as parrots, quite often. Birds seem more fragile than lizards.
Is Mr Seward sexing young animals with ultrasound or solely older specimens that have been held back and grown.
had not heard that but if true than I would say the lizards would be just fine as the aves stress much more easily. I'd still like to see it "proven" though first. I believe he was using it on yearling animals and older, but you'd have to ask him for details.
