It looks like a very nice montpelliers snake (Malpolon monspessulanus) Definatly fits into the racer catagory.

Well done Nate!.. it is Malpolon monspessulanus or the 'Montpellier snake'.
If you have met one of these guys you never forget it.Look like a coachwhip...sound like a puff adder..with a nasty venomous bite!!..loads of attitude!!!
I would own one,but they are subject to a licence over here in the U.K.

This one was being handled by Mike,who is a member of this forum.
