I read you should never handle anoles but they don't say how to remove them for cleaning.Can you tell me what you do?

I read you should never handle anoles but they don't say how to remove them for cleaning.Can you tell me what you do?
I remove as many items from the cage as I can, then gently herd them into a small Kritter Keeper. It's not easy, but seems to be less stressful than actually catching them, plus less likelihood of dropping a tail.
