I've had my albino pacman, Claudius, for a year and a half now. He is housed in a 10 gallon aquarium, but I am planning on moving him to a 29 gallon in a couple months. I'd like to get a 2nd one, but dont want to lose one to the other. I though about splitting the cage down the middle, but that only gives each toad 180 sq inches, which is 20 less than what he has now. I don't think a 29 gallon is large enough for two - is it? Just wanted to get some opinions on whether to just give Claud the 29 to himself, or to divide and get a 2nd.

thanks.

I wouldn't keep them together no matter how big the tank is. In the wild, pacman's main diet is other frogs..

However, does your frog honestly move? I would go so far as to say a ten gallon offers much more space than needed.

Mine has a roomy tank, but he never moves from his burrow.

Haha, I completely agree with you actually. I haven't seen my toad in nearly a week. I would be concerned if it weren't for his periodic "chirping" letting me know he is still alive! I guess this answers my question of splitting a 29g aquarium.

PS I remember reading a while back about one sex being more vocal than the other. I'm not sure which was which, does anyone know? Mine "chirps" when I play music loudly or my bird is squaking.

Chirping = Male I believe...Almost positive.

Yes, only the males vocalize.
