Sorry for the description but for lack of a better word test tube hybrid was the best thing I can come up with. Any info on this? For example 2 different species that normally would not or could not cross being crossed in a lab environment? I guess like injecting genes into an egg or something? For the record I am not wanting to do this I was just thinking about ti at work and thought I would look it up. If it has been done can someone give me a word for it that makes me sound smarter than "test tube hybrid"?

It has been done. one of the strangest is a goat with spider genes. The spider genes that where added made female goats produce spider silk protines in their milk. The silk is extracted from the milk and then spun kinda like a spider would, but its spun no where near as fine as a spider can spin it.
