Lizards for my office?

hayseed May 15, 2008 11:19 AM

I would like to ask everyone's opinions about what kind of lizards you think would be best as display animals in my office at work. I have a number of snakes at home and a few leopard geckos that I love, so I am well experienced with keeping reptiles. What I want in my office is something that would be relatively easy to care for and would be attractive and interesting to people visiting my office.

I do love leopard geckos and I was thinking that putting a few in my office would be an "excuse" to get a few more. I was also thinking about other types of geckos like Day Geckos or Gargoyle Geckos. What do you all think? Any favorite lizards to recommend for a beautiful office display?

Thanks. I appreciate your opinions.

In my office I have a group of Holaspis guentheri. Very active, often seen, easy to take care for, colourful-my collegues love them.

you want something that is day active, leopard geckos will be hiding all day so that's not really a good display animal. and they can't be easily stressed. humidity can also be a pain so maybe some kind of spiny lizard? fence lizards, swifts, etc.
