outdoor enclosers for wfl

sandman221 May 20, 2008 10:30 PM

was wondering if anyone had an outdoor encloser or even if its a good idea. just so u know im in hilmar ca, they are EVERYWERE at my house, caught a very nice looking male today and gonna try and find some of the more colorful females for him. but ya how would one set up and outdoor encloser? i was thinking of just burrying some window screen maybe 12-18in below the ground so they can have plenty of room to dig(lay eggs) as they would in nature and what not and also make 2x4 frame with window screen aswell so the temp are the same inside and out. size wise im thinking somewere around 10ft w x 10ft l, 3-5ft high from top of soil. sound like a good idea or no??? all input is greatly appreciated, and ill try and get some pics of the handsome fella tomarrow

Your plan sounds good. When I maintained mine in an outdoor enclosure its was 1X1 framed with screen and worked out very well. Make sure to use metal screen as the nylon stuff can be compromised by cats and other animals. Make sure to show us pictures of the progress
