HELP!! Anole has become skinny

Bluebill Jun 16, 2009 10:05 PM

Please help. I have a green anole that has been very healthy up until about a week ago. She has started losing weight to the point that you can see her ribs and the bones in her back legs. She is still eating, but she doesn't seem to be gaining any weight. The temp in the enclosure is around 75 and I mist the cage about twice per day to keep the humidity up around 60-70%. What can I do?

Just make sure you've got a quality UVB bulb for the anole, and dust the feeder insects with a calcium supplement. Make sure they have hot basking spots (110F to 120F) Other than that, combined with what you're doing, there's not much else.
