moving the baby skink was a mistake

AccidentalHerps Aug 07, 2009 01:04 PM

last night i set up the fatest baby skink in his own tank.
this morning he was dead.
i don't know why. i handled him very carefully, the other two baby skinks are fine. Died of fright?

I am quite upset by this.

Was everything about that second setup exactly the same? That seems strange that it would die so easily.

I wonder if the babies stay together for awhile in the wild.

i talked with my vet, who is a herp vet, and she said that baby skinks are notoriously fragile.

the set up was the same, the poor little thing just died of fright.

the remaining two look good. they are fat and will remain in that setup until they are a good deal bigger.
