She is very wide and stopped eating this am. Should I remove the male or will his presence matter?
Hi there...I'm no expert but I do own a single one now[ always loved them] but about 10 yrs. ago I had a pair, I didn;t know what sex they were but found 6-7? eggs under a piece of slate[ which I incubated and hatched...cutest shiny things ever]but I didn't notice any change in their behavior or any type of problem with the female.So that was my experience..they got along perfectly and she was fine...don't know if that's the norm...Angie
My male often helps guard the nest.
I'd leave him in.
